The work
Bespoke is shaped to the student. The question, the pace, and the form of the final work are set in conversation with the supervisor at the start. Some students develop a single thesis at depth; others work through a connected pair of questions in sequence. The supervisor stays close to the work throughout.
At this depth, the work can extend beyond writing and modeling: a Bespoke thesis can be implemented and observed in a controlled environment, where its behaviour against markets becomes part of what the student is reviewed on.
Who it is for
Students with a defined area of interest, the discipline to work at depth over sixteen weeks, and prior evidence of independent intellectual work. Bespoke is admitted in conversation; the application is the beginning of that conversation, not its conclusion.
Supervisor
A member of the firm's investment committee.
Continuation
Most Bespoke students continue with their supervisor after the program ends. The form continuation takes is set together at the end.
Application
Bespoke is by application only. The application is reviewed by the supervisor who would lead the work; if there is a fit, the student is invited to a longer conversation.
